The 21-year-old came over to North America in 2022-23 after the Canes signed him to a three-year entry-level contract in May 2022. Pashin played for the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League (AHL) and tallied four goals and six assists for 10 points in 47 games.
Heading into the 2023-24 campaign, the Hurricanes did not have an active AHL affiliation agreement in place with Chicago and thus loaned Pashin to Spartak Moskva. If Pashin clears waivers he will become an unrestricted free agent and is free to sign with any club.
