Don’t assume every goalie that played last night will sit tonight. You might be surprised that many teams do not use their backups in back-to-back situations. However, we won’t have many morning skates today to determine who will start.

Take the Islanders-Rangers for example. If you think Chad Johnson will start after Lundqvist played exceptionally well last night you might be sadly mistaken.

Blah, the BlackBerry servers were down so I didn’t get any of these updates. Twitter is also gone goofy as I didn’t get any of these Twitter updates at all. Sorry for the lateness!

    Go Mark!

I’m surprised Halak is not starting tonight for 2 reasons:

    1) Price played alst night, and although only letting in 2, 1 was a worst goal of the year candidate.

    2) Though the Habs would try to showcase Halak as much as they can, prior to his trade out of town (which is only a matter of time)

  16. Matt Bennett Says:

I think Halak has been showcased enough. Gainey probably doesn’t want to stir any controversy prior to trading Halak.

Starting Price shows that the team has confidence in him and that he is their go-to guy, despite that awful goal. Part of Price’s learning experience will be overcoming tough goals like that and playing like a top netminder consistently.

Hey guys. As Saga says, Gigeure is starting tonight. Sorry we didn’t have anyone online at the time of confirmation cuz Carlyle is a jerk and waits until ten minutes before the game.
