Legend for Goalie Starters:

  • Probable = Our best guess based off the surrounding games since no reputable source confirmed starting goaltender.
  • Expected/Likely = A source expects the netminder to start but typically not based off morning skate.
  • Confirmed = The team’s source or beat writer confirms which goalie will start. Certain sources we feel are reliable enough to confirm a day in advance regardless of the time of confirmation.

We encourage speculation in our comments or if you feel we missed a starter please let your voice heard. Also note that we post speculation in our comments section as well. DISCLAIMER: We try to confirm all of our starters to the best of our ability before 7 PM EST, where most goaltending conflicts take place.

  1. Josh Cohen Says:

Quick has left Kings’ current road trip for the birth of his first child, the Associated Press reports.

Recommendation: Quick is likely to miss the Kings’ game against the Stars on Friday night, so the team recalled fellow goalie Jonathan Bernier from AHL Manchester.

im going to go with all home teams today,

    new jersey has pittsburgh’s number,
washington will beat tampa, they lost to leafs and its washington,
atlanta can take the rangers, atlanta is home and lost 4 straight and have beaten rangers 3 straight times and its time for them to win a game,
buffalo without a doubt will beat the wild,
dallas is at home and la has there back up who cant really play well most times,
anaheim has been off there game and so has hiller, so i think they can step it up against the nashville preditors who just lost to the sharks 8-5

Thanks Ben, Spy, Bill and Josh.

Forgive me for being a bit aloof today, battling good ol’ H1N1..

  8. Ricky Daniels Says:

Matthew, I would highly suggest being extra careful laying chalk on the teams that are massive home favorites tonight. You could win your other bets and lose more on only a could of those big upsets very easily. In particular, I actually think the Caps and Sabres are exceptionally risky.

  9. Ben Says:

Huet starts Saturday in Philadelphia. Niemi with a “good chance” of starting Sunday against the Caps, that is to say unless Huet plays lights out, Niemi will go.
