The Penguins report is reporting that Pens sniper Evgeni Malkin will miss 2-3 weeks with a shoulder injury. He’s the first of the top 3 picks to go down so hopefully your fantasy teams have enough depth to fill the gaps. Jordan Staal is your best bet if you want to stick close to the Pens as he’ll see much more ice time and power play time in Malkin’s absence. Malkin has 4 goals and 10 assists through 12 games this season. We will update as soon as more information is released.
Possible center replacements that are likely available in your league:
Tomas Plekanec (11 pts), Ryan Kesler (11 pts), Sam Gagner (b/w Hemsky and Penner), Mike Fisher (playing between Kovalev and Alfredsson, 10 pts.), Andy McDonald (38% owned in Yahoo)
