Marc-Andre Bourdon News

Bourdon (concussion) has been cleared for contact and will be loaned to Adirondack (AHL).

Bourdon hasn’t played a pro hockey game since Nov. 30, 2012 against the Binghamton Senators. In that game, he suffered his second concussion in a year’s time. He had a concussion with the Flyers prior to that, but didn’t tell anyone because he feared losing his spot in the lineup but the 24-year-old defenseman is finally at the point where he can return to game action. Although Bourdon was shut down for a while, he’s been skating for about eight months. He was hopeful he would get cleared to participate in training camp to start this season, but he never was.

It belongs to Marc-Andre Bourdon. Bourdon was picked in the third round of the 2008 draft. If he has his number called, it will be his NHL debut as well. In 14 games with the Phantoms this season, the 6-foot, 225-pound defenseman has three assists.

Bourdon figures to play in place of Braydon Coburn. He holds no fantasy hockey value as a stay-at-home defender.
