The 6-5, 250-pound winger, who had hip surgery in the offseason and hasn’t played a game in nearly eight months, will be taken off of injured reserve on Saturday and reassigned to Worcester on a two-week conditioning assignment.
McLaren registered 76 PIM through 32 career games and may be a decent PIM stream.
Frazer McLaren also had his first real practice of the preseason today, going full tilt for the first time since off-season hip surgery. McLaren says he good to go and, if the training staff agrees, Mclellan says the big left wing will play Saturday night in Phoenix.
McLaren has 32 games under his belt as a Shark over the past two seasons and could be in the mix for a roster spot. Could be a good source of PIM as his totals could reach 150+ with enough games played.
So, the Sharks have made it official with the Jamie McGinn re-signing. And they’ve also re-signed Frazer McLaren.
