Carlo Colaiacovo News

Colaiacovo (healthy scratch) will be back in the Sabres lineup on Friday.

Colaiacovo has been a healthy scratch in the last six games, but will get back into the lineup on Friday. Casey Nelson will take a seat in the press box with Colaiacovo back in the lineup. He has one goal and four assists in 34 games this season.

Colaiacovo (upper-body) will return to the Sabres lineup on Tuesday.

Colaiacovo has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury, but he will replace Mike Weber in the lineup tonight in Tampa Bay. Colaiacovo has one assists and a minus-2 rating in six games this season.

Colaiacovo (lower-body) is listed as doubtful for Tuesday’s game vs. the Penguins.

Colaiacovo left Monday afternoon’s game with a lower-body injury. He has a long list of injuries in his career, so this is nothing new for veteran defenseman. Expect Brandon Manning to be recalled and play tomorrow.

Colaiacovo will return to the Flyers lineup on Wednesday.

Colaiacovo has not played since November 19th, but will be back in the lineup tomorrow because the Flyers will be without Braydon Coburn and Nicklas Grossmann. Colaiacovo will be paired with Luke Schenn.

Colaiacovo will make his Flyers' debut on Tuesday.

Colaiacovo skated alongside Luke Schnn in Flyers practice this morning. In addition to working on the third pair, Colaiacovo played the point on the Flyers' second power-play unit. He provides some offensive punch to Philly's blueline, but he is a huge injury risk and likely won't provide enough offence to be considered valuable in standard fantasy leagues.

The Flyers have inked Carlo Colaiacovo to a two-way deal.

Colaiacovo's salary cap hit in St. Louis last season was $550,000 and it figures he probably got a similar deal with Philly. Colaiacovo will help bolster a banged up Flyers blueline, but he has a long history with injuries. He has had numerous injuries -- shoulder, wrist, knee, eye, facial, lower body all, since January 23, 2010, he’s missed 59 NHL games.

Carlo Colaiacovo will make his season debut tonight.

Kevin Shattenkirk appears to be out tonight with the flu, but even if he plays, Colaiacovo makes his season debut regardless. Colaiacovo has had a hard time staying healthy in recent years and he isn't going to carve out a permanent role on a good St. Louis blueline, so he is not fantasy relevant.

The Blues have made the Carlo Colaiacovo signing official.

St. Louis signed Colaiacovo pending a physical on Tuesday, he obviously passed that physical and has been signed to a one-year deal. Colaiacovo spent four seasons with the Blues (2008-12), which were the best years of his career (18G / 88A = 106P in 259 games)

The Blues have agreed to a one-year deal with defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo pending the results of a medical.

Colaiacovo spent four seasons with the Blues (2008-12), which were the best years of his career (18G / 88A = 106P in 259 games). Last year he had an injury plagued season with the Red Wings. Colaiacovo only appeared in six of a possible 48 regular season games. He had one assist in nine playoff games.

Looks like Colaiacovo might be in tonight in place of Lashoff.

Colaiacovo has been hampered by injuries this season and only appeared in six games with the Red Wings and two games with Grand Rapids (AHL). He only recorded one assist in the six games with the Wings this season. He will enter the lineup in a crucial Game 6, the Wings hope he won't have any rust.

Carlo Colaiacovo and Brian Lashoff also are scratched, to make room for Kyle Quincey (back after missing nine games with a fractured cheek bone), Ian White and Danny DeKeyser, who'll make his NHL debut.

Colaiacovo was a minus-4 in his first two games back from injury.

Carlo Colaiacovo is ready to play.

Colaiacovo will likely dress in just his third game as a Red Wing tomorrow vs. Colorado. He has not played since the second game of the season because of a shoulder injury. When he is healthy he usually produces on a fairly consistent basis, however staying healthy has been a big issue for him throughout the years.

Detroit Red Wings defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo is at last ready to make a third appearance.

Colaiacovo was removed from injured reserve today, about two months after a shoulder injury landed him there following the Jan. 21 game at Columbus. Colaiacovo has the ability to put up points but is always an injury risk.

Babcock said Colaiacovo will be out for weeks due to shoulder injury.

Colaiacovo has had trouble in his career staying healthy, so there is no real surprise here. He hasn't played more that 67 games in his career. Colaiacovo could be a reliable fantasy option if he ever stayed healthy... until then stay away.
