Sean Bergenheim News

Bergenheim will debut on the Wild's top-line.

Bergenheim was acquired from the Wild on Tuesday and he will make his Wild debut on a line with Mikko Koivu and Thomas Vanek. Bergenheim is a player that loves to shoot the puck, so if he gets a lot of time with a good palymaker, that could result in some fantasy success down the line.

The Wild have acquired Sean Bergenheim and a 7th round pick from the Panthers for 3rd round pick.

Bergenheim has been the subject of trade talks for some time now. He has been a healthy scratch for the last seven games and has scored eight goals and 10 assists (18 points) in 39 games with the Panthers. The Wild are ready to make a playoff push and Bergenheim should be able to fill in for Jason Zucker.

Bergenheim (lower-body) took part in the Panthers morning skate; return tonight remains questionable.

Bergenheim has missed the last four games with a lower-body injury that he suffered in the Panthers’ 2-1 win over the Coyotes on October 30th. His return to the ice this morning is a good sign, but he still is not expected to return tonight, but Friday seems like a real possibility now.

Bergenheim will make his season debut tonight vs. the Sabres.

Bergenheim hasn't played in an NHL game since 2011-12 after getting injured overseas during the lockout last season. He is coming off of offseason hip/abdomen surgery. He likely won't have too much fantasy value, unless he works his way into the Panthers top-6. He will skate on the fourth line tonight with Scott Gomez and Jesse Winchester.

Bergenheim has yet to play this season after undergoing hip/abdomen surgery, but appears as if he could play tonight. He has not appeared in an NHL game since 2011-12 because of injuries. That season he had 17 goals and six assists (23 points) in 62 games.

Bergenheim missed all of last season and is one-year removed from surgery on his hip and abdomen. He was skating today with Brad Boyes and Scott Gomez and should be returning to the lineup in the near future. He has been a mid-20's point producer throughout his career; and that is what you should expect out of him in 2013-14.

Bergenheim is taking great steps towards recovery said Panthers head coach Kevin Dineen.

Bergenheim missed all of last season with the groin injury and underwent surgery in the offseason. He is still on IR, so he will obviously miss the season opener tomorrow, but is on the right track to returning to the lineup. The 29-year-old has a career high of 29 points (TB - 2010-11) so he is not expected to have a fantasy impact.
