Johnson did not play in the Blackhawks' last game due to an undisclosed injury but will return to the lineup on Wednesday as Cole Guttman will be a healthy scratch. The 33-year-old Johnson has only one point (1G / 0A), a -4 plus/minus, and 15 shots in his last seven games.

Johnson was forced to leave the Blackhawks' previous game after just five shifts and 4:07 TOI due to re-aggravating the ankle injury which caused him to miss 20 games earlier in the season. He is expected to miss the teams' upcoming three-game road trip but will hope to return and add to the five goals, nine assists, 38 SOG and eight PIMs through 22 games he had collected prior to his injury.

Johnson was placed on the injured reserve on Oct. 27th due to an ankle injury but will return Tuesday on a line with Jason Dickinson and Jujhar Khaira. The 32-year-old was having his best season to date, with two goals, four assists and 12 SOG through six games prior to the injury.

Johnson suffered a right ankle injury vs. the Panthers on Tuesday and will miss at least one week after landing on IR. The Blackhawks have not released a timetable for his return. Jujhar Khaira moved up into the Blackhawks' top-6 in Thursday's practice.
