The Senators have acquired Matt Frattin, Dion Phaneuf, Casey Bailey, Ryan Rupert and prospect Cody Donaghey from the Maple Leafs for Jared Cowen, Colin Greening, Milan Michalek, Tobias Lindberg and a 2017 2nd round pick.

Frattin, 28, has spent the entire season with the Toronto Marlies (AHL). In 47 games he has collected nine goals and 13 assists (22 points). He has appeared in 135 career NHL games, registering 35 points (17G / 18A) with the Maple Leafs, Kings and Blue Jackets.

The Maple Leafs have recalled Matt Frattin from Toronto (AHL).

The Maple Leafs are without Leo Komarov and David Booth, who was injured last night, so Frattin has been recalled and is expected to play tonight vs. the Sharks. He registered 10 goals and three assists (13 points) in 22 games with the Marlies.

Frattin played in the season opener, but was a healthy scratch in the last five games. He gets back in the lineup on Saturday after Brandon Kozun injured his ankle on Friday. Frattin will play on the fourth line with Peter Holland and Richard Panik.

The Maple Leafs have traded Jerry D'Amigo and a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2015 NHL Draft to the Columbus Blue Jackets for Matt Frattin.

Frattin, 26, returns to Toronto after he was dealt to the Kings in the Jonathan Bernier trade. After 40 games with Los Angeles he was traded to Columbus in the Marian Gaborik deal. He finished the season with two goals and five assists in 44 total games.

The Kings have traded Matt Frattin, a second-round pick and a conditional third-round pick to the Blue Jackets for Marian Gaborik. Columbus will also retain a large portion of Gaborik's contract.

Frattin was traded to the Kings in the Jonathan Bernier deal along with the second-round pick that is also heading to the Blue Jackets. He has two goals and four assists in 40 games with the Kings this season.

Fratting has missed the last three games, but could return on Saturday. The Kings are off on Friday so they will have a morning skate where Frattin will be evaluated and a decision will be made then.

The Los Angeles Kings have acquired Matt Frattin, Ben Scrivens and a second-round pick from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for Jonathan Bernier.

The 25-year-old forward was in and out of the Maple Leafs lineup this season, but showed flashes of scoring ability at the NHL level before getting injured. He had seven goals and six assists (13 points) in 25 games this season. Frattin has just 28 points in 82 career NHL games.

This will be the 11th straight game that Frattin has missed with his knee injury. The Maple Leafs were hoping to have Frattin back this week, but it looks like he will be back for the weekend at best.

The Mike Brown trade was to make room for Frattin, but according to Nonis he might not be ready tonight. Check back for Frattin's status prior to game-time, his status might not be certain until after warmups.

The Maple Leafs just traded forward Mike Brown to the Oilers presumably to clear space for Frattin to return to the lineup tonight. Frattin has seven goals and three assists in 10 games this season.

Frattin (knee) has been out since February 11 but should be back in the lineup soon now that he was medically cleared for contact. Frattin was one of the Maple Leafs best players before getting hurt. He will look to pick-up where he left-off when he gets back. He has seven goals and three assists in 10 games this season.

This is the first time Frattin has skated since undergoing an operation to remove scar-tissue from his knee. He is not a full participant in practice but he is out there testing his knee. Frattin was playing great before the operation recording 7 G and 3 A in 10 games. He is still likely a minimum of a week away from returning to the Leafs lineup.

Leafs have put Matt Frattin on IR. Carlyle made it sound like they're hoping he's back by end of month, so expect much longer than a week.

More bad news for the Maple Leafs as his original timetable of a one week absence looks like it was on the low-side. Monitor Frattin's status going forward, but it looks like he is going to miss a couple of weeks.

This is unfortunate news for Frattin and the Maple Leafs as he has been one of the NHL's hottest players since being recalled from the Toronto Marlies. He has 7 goals and 3 assists in 10 games this season as well as a +6. The procedure isn't expected to be serious and he shouldn't be out any longer than a week.

It remains to be seen where Frattin will play in the lineup, but this is a great opportunity for the young forward to proves he belongs in the NHL. Where he plays in the lineup and how much ice time he gets will ultimately determine his fantasy value.
