The Rangers have recalled Raphael Diaz from Hartford (AHL).

Diaz did not appear in an NHL games this season, but had 21 points (6G / 15A) in 37 games with Hartford this season. Diaz could replace Brady Skjei in the lineup for Game 3 on Tuesday.

Diaz has been sidelined with a lower-body injury since April 2nd, but he will get back into the lineup for Game 3 vs. the Ducks. He will slide onto the third pairing with David Schlemko as his partner and Tyler Wotherspoon will become a healthy scratch. Diaz had just four points (2G / 2A) in 56 games this season.

Diaz has been out since April 2nd, but it looks like he has a chance to return to the lineup in Game 2 vs. the Ducks. Diaz had just two goals and two assists (4 points) in 56 games this season. Diaz would replace Tyler Wotherspoon in the lineup.

Diaz suffered an undisclosed injury last night and is questionable for tomorrow’s game vs. the Oilers. Tyler Wotherspoon has been recalled and is expected to play if Diaz can’t.

Diaz was traded to the Rangers for a fifth-round pick at the trade deadline, but has yet to suit up for his new club. Tonight, he will slide in for John Moore who is out with an upper-body injury. Diaz has 13 points (1G / 12A) with a minus-7 rating in 52 games this season.

The Canucks have traded Raphael Diaz to the Rangers for a 2015 fifth-round pick.

Diaz was acquired from the Canadiens for Dale Weise on February 3, but has now been shipped to the Rangers for a future draft pick. With Vancouver, Diaz had one goal and one assist in six games. He has a total of one goal and 12 assists in 52 games this season.

The Canucks get a puck moving defenceman who has 11 assists and minus-4 rating in 46 games with the Habs. With Kevin Bieksa and Chris Tanev out, the Canucks were in need of a D-man and they get one at a cheap price.

Diaz has been out since February 25h with a concussion. He is nearing a return and will jump right back into the lineup with Alexei Emelin out for the season.

Diaz missed Wednesday game due to concussion-like symptoms. It appears as if the concussion is serious and he could be sidelined for an extended period of time.

Diaz's injury is clearly substantial as he could miss the next 10 games. The rookie defenseman has three goals and 16 points in 59 games.
