The Canadiens have recalled Victor Bartley from St. John’s (AHL).

Bartley has picked up two goals and two assists in 10 games with St. John’s since being acquired from Nashville. This is his first stint with the Canadiens, but has appeared in one NHL game this season and 112 games since 2012. He has 23 career points (1G / 22A) and will likely remain with the Habs with Tom Gilbert (knee) out for the season.

The Canadiens have sent Victor Bartley to St. John's (AHL).

Bartley has not appeared in a game with the Canadiens since being acquired in the Jarred Tinordi trade. This is the reason why the Canadiens made the deal. Bartley is waiver exempt and Tinordi would have needed to clear waivers to be sent down. He is expected to play with St. John’s over the weekend and could return to the Habs next week.
