The Penguins have sent Adam Payerl back to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL).

Payerl, 23, played in two games with Pittsburgh, including his NHL debut on April 6 at Colorado when he collected three shots and four hits in 9:33 minutes. Payerl has nine points (3G / 6A) in 38 games with WBS this year.

The Penguins have recalled Adam Payerl from WIlkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL).

Payerl, a 6-foot-3, 218-pound forward, will be looking to make his NHL debut later today when the Penguins face the Colorado Avalanche. Payerl, 23, skated in two preseason games with Pittsburgh, collecting five penalty minutes. He has played in 38 AHL regular-season games with WBS, scoring three goals, six assists, nine points and 36 penalty minutes. Payerl missed two-plus months due to an upper-body injury.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Adam Payerl to a three-year entry-level contract, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.

Payerl will finish out the remainder of his OHL season before competing for a job in training camp.
