Nick Ritchie will be a healthy scratch Wednesday vs. San Jose.

Ritchie has 13 goals, 13 assists, 120 SOG, 53 PIMs and a -21 plus/minus through 74 games with Calgary and Arizona but will not be in the Flames' lineup Wednesday as they take on San Jose. The 27-year-old was the Flames' final shooter in their previous loss which mathematically eliminated Calgary from the playoffs.

Ritchie was dealt to the Flames on Trade Deadline day in a rare four-player which saw him and his brother (Brett) swap teams and will be making his Calgary debut Monday. The 27-year-old had nine goals, 12 assists, 87 SOG and a -15 plus/minus through 58 games with Arizona before the trade.

Ritchie was acquired from the Maple Leafs on Monday in a trade that sent Ilya Lyubushkin to Toronto. He will replace Andrew Ladd in the lineup and will most likely start in the bottom-6. Ritchie has just two goals with seven assists (nine points) in 33 games this season.

The Coyotes have acquired Nick Ritchie and a conditional second-round pick from the Maple Leafs for Ilya Lyubushkin and Ryan Dzingel.

Ritchie signed a two-year, $5.0M deal with the Maple Leafs in the offseason but had a hard time finding a full-time spot in the lineup. Overall, he had nine points (2G / 7A) in 33 games with the Maple Leafs before being waived and sent to the Marlies. He had one goal in two AHL games. Ritchie should have no problem finding playing time with the Coyotes.

Ritchie was acquired from the Ducks on Monday and will make his debut tonight vs. the Flames. Ritchie is coming off of a four-point performance in his last game with the Ducks and has 19 points (8G / 11A) in 41 games this season. He'll skate on the third line with Charlie Coyle and Anders Bjork.

The Bruins have acquired Nick Ritchie from the Ducks for Danton Heinen.

Ritchie was selected tenth overall by the Ducks in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. His production has been somewhat underwhelming through his first five seasons, never topping more than 31 points in a season. The 24-year-old has eight goals and 11 assists in 41 games on the year.

Ritchie has missed the last 19 games with a sprained left MCL but will play Monday in San Jose. Ritchie is expected to be on the second line with Adam Henrique and Devin Shore and re-enters the lineup with 10 points (3G / 7A) in 27 games this season.
