Alexandre Grenier News

The Canucks have recalled Alex Grenier from Utica (AHL).

Grenier is one of four players coming up from Utica because there are five Canucks believed to be dealing with mumps. Grenier has not recorded a point in six career NHL games, but has had a nice season in Utica, scoring 15 goals with 23 assists (38 points) in 51 games —that leads the team.

Grenier has recorded seven points (2G / 5A) in 13 games with Utica this season. On Wednesday he will make his NHL debut because the Canucks want to get some size in the lineup vs. the heavy Jets. Grenier is 6-foot-5, 200 lbs. and is expected to debut on Vancouver’s second line.
