Treutle struggled in his first career NHL start, getting yanked after allowing five goals on 16 shots. After that, the Coyotes have returned him to Springfield and recalled Marek Langhamer.
Treutle, 24, stopped all four shots that he faced after replacing Louis Domingue in his NHL debut vs. the Blues on February 20th. Treutle was 9-11-5 with a 2.91 GAA and .909 SV% in 26 games with Springfield (AHL) at the time of his call-up. His first career start comes against a Ducks team that has won nine consecutive.
Treutle, 24, has been recalled because Anders Lindback and Mike Smith are out, so he will backup Louis Domingue. Treutle has gone 9-11-5 with a 2.91 GAA and .909 SV% in 26 games with Springfield this season.
