The 35-year-old signed a one-year, $2,750,000 last week and is expected to lineup on Detroits top power play and second line alongside Alex DeBrincat. He will look to add to the 451 goals and 1237 points he has amassed over his incredibly impressive 1180 game NHL career.

Kane has been ruled out of Tuesday's game against the Buffalo Sabres but his Red Wings' debut seems imminent as he was a full participant at practice for the first time on Monday. Kane skated alongside Joe Veleno and former Blackhawks teammate Alex DeBrincat on the Red Wings' second line. Kane seems to be a lock, at least for the time being, with DeBrincat, but there will likely be some line shuffling, especially since J.T. Compher was not at practice, as Kane reacclimates himself to gameplay.

After much speculation across the league, Patrick Kane has decided to sign with the Detroit Red Wings. Kane underwent hip surgery in the offseason and has not played since a brief playoff run with the New York Rangers in May. It is unclear when Kane will make his Red Wings debut, but he will likely be reunited on a line with former linemate from the Chicago Blackhawks, Alex DeBrincat. Kane scored 57 points (21G / 36A) in 73 games between the Rangers and Blackhawks last season but scored above a point-per-game pace in each of his previous four seasons.
