Tomas Kopecky News

Kopecky (elbow) appears to be ready to return to the Panthers lineup tonight.

Kopecky has been skating lately, but was sating on a regular line with Tomas Fleischmann and Marcel Goc this morning, a good sign he is in. Kopecky missed the last five games after suffering an elbow injury in the first period of the November 21st clash with the Oilers.

The Panthers placed Kopeck (wrist) on IR on Monday.

Kopecky was injured in the first period of last Thursday's game vs. the Oilers. Kopecky was not expected to miss more than a couple of days, but his placement on IR means he will miss at least a week. He is eligible to return on Saturday, but monitor his status prior to puck-drop. Kopecky has two goals and two assists in 23 games.

Forward Tomas Kopecky, who missed Friday’s game against the Lightning with an upper body injury but played Saturday, was given a, “maintenance,’’ day off and will make the trip to Raleigh today.

Kopecky is banged up but expected to play on the road trip. The versatile forward has scored three goals and 10 points through his first 22 games as a Panther.
