Carter Rowney News

Rowney is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Rowney left Tuesday’s game vs. the Golden Knights and did not return and it looks like he’ll miss Friday’s game in Dallas. Rowney only appeared in three games since returning to the lineup from an upper-body injury and it looks like he’ll end up back on the shelf.

Rowney left Tuesday’s game with a lower-body injury and did not return.

Rowney recently returned to the Penguins’ lineup but left Tuesday’s game after playing just 3:01 TOI and did not return. The Penguins did not have an update on Rowney during his postgame interview, so consider him questionable for Friday’s game in Dallas.

Rowney (upper-body) will be a game-time decision on Friday.

Rowney has been out since January 2nd but could be back in tonight vs. the Capitals. Rowney has been an effective piece in the Penguins bottom-6 but doesn’t have any fantasy relevance having picked up just four points (2G / 2A) in 27 games this season.

Rowney will miss a minimum of four weeks with a broken hand.

Rowney left Saturday’s game in Tampa Bay and was diagnosed with a broken hand on Tuesday. The Penguins bottom-6 forward will miss at least four weeks, so look for Greg McKegg and Tom Kuhnhackl to remain in the lineup following the addition of Riley Sheahan.

The Penguins have recalled Carter Rowney from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL).

Rowney, 27, has registered 10 goals and 11 assists (21 points) in 24 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season. Rowney could make his NHL debut tonight if Patric Hornqvist (lower-body) can’t play.
