Remi Elie News

The Sabres have claimed Remi Elie off of waivers from Dallas.

Elie was a second-round pick of the Stars (No.40 overall) in 2013, but has picked up just 21 points (7G / 14A) in 90 career NHL games. Elie hasn’t had a lot of offensive success at the AHL-level either, so he could have a tough time cracking a suddenly deep Sabres lineup.

The Stars have re-signed Remi Elie to a one-year, $735K extension.

After two years in the AHL, Elie was a nearly full-time NHLer in 2018. The 23-year-old scored six goals with eight assists (14 points) in 72 games with the Stars last season. Elie figures to be a bottom-6 winger again in 2019.

The Stars have recalled Remi Elie from Texas (AHL).

With Adam Cracknell being claimed off of waivers by the Rangers, the Stars had an open roster spot to bring Elie up. The 22-year-old winger brings speed and grit to the Stars’ fourth line and had seven points (1G / 6A) in 18 games with Dallas last year. Look for him to get into the lineup vs. Detroit on Tuesday.
