George Parros News

Parros (concussion) will slide back into the lineup tonight.

Parros missed the last 10 games with his second concussion of the season. He was cleared earlier in the week, but will finally get the call tonight vs. the Blackhawks. He is a fighter only, and averages just 3:56 TOI in his nine games this season. He is not fantasy relevant.

Parros will be in the lineup tonight vs. Toronto.

Parros is obviously not fantasy relevant, but this will be his first time facing the Maple Leafs since the season opener when he was knocked out in a fight with Colton Orr. This should be a great game and the fact that Parros is dressing is worth keeping an eye on. Douglas Murray who stands in at 6-foot-3, 245 lbs will also be in the lineup.

George Parros left the ice on a stretcher Tuesday night at 2:34 of the third period after slamming the ice hard during a fight with Toronto Maple Leafs forward Colton Orr. As Orr was falling, he had a hold of Parros' jersey, sending him tumbling down and causing him to land on the ice face first.

Parros was taken to hospital for further testing and the Canadiens announced he sustained a concussion, but was alert and conscious before he left Bell Centre. "It's just bad luck in that situation," Canadiens coach Michel Therrien said. "You don't see those things often. He fell, and he fell on his face, on his chin."

Right wing George Parros continues to work out with the team but his timetable on a possible return remains the first or second week of December. Parros has been out of the lineup since Nov. 3 because of a torn retina suffered when hit by a deflected shot during a practice in Detroit.

Parros could be a spot play once healthy. Prior to getting hurt he fought three times in 11 games.

George Parros had laser surgery on his left eye this afternoon to correct a torn retina. Parros suffered the injury last Friday when he was hit with a deflected puck at the club’s practice in Detroit. He is expected to make a full recovery and return to game action in approximately four weeks.

Don't expect Parros back in the lineup for the rest of the month. If you use him to stream PIM, it may be time to explore your short-term options.
