Tom Sestito News

The NHL suspended Tom Sestito for four games for his hit on Tobias Enstrom.

Sestito played just 1:02 TOI during Wednesday’s game in Winnipeg, but that was enough time for him to get in a fight with Chris Thorburn and get ejected for blasting Enstrom into the boards from behind. Sestito is not a regular member of the Penguins lineup (for good reason) so this suspension does not affect them at all.

Sestito, who was playing in just his second game of the season on Sunday, left with a lower-body injury and did not return. It was unclear how Sestito suffered the injury, but it is serious enough to keep him sidelined for awhile. With Sestito out, Bo Horvat will make his NHL debut on Tuesday.
