Bill Thomas News

Several reports have the Panthers re-signing forward Bill Thomas and calling him up to fill the void created by injuries to Jack Skille and Sean Bergenheim. Thomas wasn’t re-signed to an NHL contract last season but has been playing for the Panthers AHL team in San Antonio.

Thomas scored nine goals and 17 points in 25 AHL games. He may get a crack at a scoring line tonight.

Apparently the Panthers have re-signed forward Bill Thomas and assigned him to the San Antonio Rampage. Thomas had four goals in 24 games with Florida last year.

With 80 career NHL games, the 28-year-old forward likely holds no fantasy value. However, in limited playing time he was able to pot 15 total goals, which could hold some value if he ever played on a scoring line.
