The Blackhawks acquired Andy Welinski in a three-team trade with the Rangers and Coyotes.

Welinkski has four goals, 16 points, 12 PIMs and a -16 plus/minus through 40 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL) and has been dealt to Chicago as part of the Patrick Kane deal in a three-team trade with the Rangers and Coyotes.

The Ducks have signed Andy Welinski to a one-year deal worth $750K.

Welinski played the entire 2020 campaign in Lehigh Valley (AHL), where he had eight goals and 13 assists (21 points) in 42 games. Welinski has only appeared in 33 NHL games since being drafted in the third-round in 2011. After one year in the Flyers organization, Welinski returns to the Ducks and likely the San Diego Gulls (AHL).

Welinski cleared waivers and has been assigned to Lehigh Valley (AHL).

Welinski started the season on IR with a lower-body injury but was activated and waived on Monday. The 26-year-old had 19 points (8G / 11A) in 27 AHL games with San Diego (AHL) last year. Waiving Welinski and sending him down opened up the cap-space and roster spot for the Flyers to sign Chris Stewart.

The Ducks have recalled Andy Welinski from San Diego (AHL).

Welinski, 25, has split his 2018-19 season right down the middle, playing 19 NHL games and 18 AHL games. With Korbinian Holzer returning to Germany for a family matter, Welinski has been called up and is expected to play on Thursday. The former third-round pick has two assists with the Ducks this year and four assists in 26 career NHL games overall.

Welinski has been recalled from San Diego (AHL) and he is expected to make his NHL debut on Monday.

Welinski, 24, was a third round pick (No.83 overall) in 2011 and was expected to have a chance to make the team out of training camp, but started the year in San Diego. Welinski has registered six goals and 11 assists (17 points) in 21 games with the Gulls and is expected to replace Jaycob Megna in the lineup vs. the Hurricanes.
