Raanta will start Thursday vs. New Jersey.

Spencer Martin was stellar in his Hurricanes debut last night, a 3-2 victory over the Boston Bruins, but Raanta will tend the twine on Thursday, the back end of a back-to-back. After a forgettable start to the season that resulted in being placed on waivers with an atrocious .855 SV% in his first 15 games (7-5-1), Raanta has rebounded nicely, allowing three or fewer goals in six games (3-2-1), posting a still unimpressive but significantly improved .898 SV%. Despite playing last night, the Hurricanes are -155 home favourites against a struggling New Jersey Devils club

Despite playing last night, the Hurricanes are -155 home favourites against a struggling New Jersey Devils club.

Raanta will start against the Wild on Sunday.

Raanta will make his fourth consecutive start on Sunday as Pyotr Kochetkov continues to be sidelined with a concussion. Raanta has picked up two wins across his three-game stretch as the interim starter, posting an .895 SV% in the process. He has endured one of the worst seasons of his career to date, registering an .867 SV% and a 3.29 GAA across 19 appearances, though he has managed a positive record of 9-6-2 thanks to steady goal support from his fellow Hurricanes.
