Josh Ho-Sang News

The Islanders have loaned Josh Ho-Sang to San Antonio (AHL).

Ho-Sang has been playing with Bridgeport (AHL) but is being assigned to the Blues' AHL affiliate in San Antonio. Ho-Sang is still the property of the Islanders but this obviously isn't a good sign for his future with the team. It's been a rocky relationship since he was selected No.28 overall in 2014.

The Islanders have re-signed Josh Ho-Sang to a one-year contract.

Despite having 24 points (7G /17A) in 53 NHL games—37 points per 82-game pace—Ho-Sang has had a difficult time cracking the Islanders roster permanently. The 23-year-old was a first-round pick in 2014 and is coming off of 43 points (8G / 35A) in 56 games at the AHL-level last season.

Ho-Sang sat as a healthy scratch for the last two games, but picked up four assists in six games this season. Ho-Sang has been replaced by Jason Chimera on the Islanders third line, so Ho-Sang will go play in Bridgeport instead of sitting in the press box.
