The Bruins have re-signed Zach Senyshyn to a one-year, two-way contract.

Senyshyn played a career-high eight NHL games in 2021 but failed to register a point with the Bruins. At the AHL-level, he had seven goals and six assists (13 points) in 18 games with Providence. This offseason, the Bruins added Erik Haula, Nick Foligno and Tomas Nosek to their bottom-6, so it seems highly likely that Senyshyn will start the season in the AHL and wait for injuries to clear the way for him to return to the Bruins.

Senyshyn is expected to miss four weeks with a lower-body injury.

Senyshyn suffered a lower-body injury vs. the Panthers on Tuesday and is expected to be sidelined for at least one month. Trent Frederic was called up from Providence (AHL) to replace Senyshyn, who had appeared in the Bruins last four games and collected two assists. The 22-year-old will likely return to Providence when he is healthy and look to make a return to Boston later in the season.

Senyshyn has been recalled from Providence (AHL) and may make his season debut on Tuesday.

Senyshyn was a first-round pick in 2015 (No.15 overall) and has one goal in two career NHL games to-date. Senyshyn has had a slow start to the 2019-20 campaign, scoring just two goals with one assist in 12 AHL games.
