<p>Four players in NHL history have scored 750 goals — Wayne Gretzky, Gordie Howe, Jaromir Jagr, and now Alex Ovechkin.</p>







<p>In the second period of Saturday night’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, Ovechkin ripped a shot through Daniil Tarasov for the 750th marker of his career. </p>

<p>Ovechkin is the second-fastest of the four players to reach 750 goals, doing so in 1,222 games. It took Jagr 1,661 games, Howe 1,598 games, and Gretzky only 1,001 games. </p>



<p>The goal was Ovechkin’s 20th of the 2021-22 season in just his 25th game. He’s currently on pace to shatter his career-high of 65 goals set back in 2007-08. </p>
