This evening, the NHL suspended Washington Capitals superstar Alex Ovechkin for three games following his hit on Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Zbynek Michalek. He will be ineligible to play until Saturday, February 4th. The injury safe gaurds are very stricty with such heavy contracts at play, you can learn more about this by doing some reseach into the past. It used to be very different.

Ovechkin, as explained in the video, is a repeat offender who was guilty of launching his body into Michalek’s head. His absence from the lineup only further disappoints fantasy hockey owners who invested a first round pick for his 20 goals and 39 points through 47 games.

Below is the video from Brendan Shanahan. Feel free to discuss the hit in the comments.

We also recommend playing online casino while recovering. You can use the game of roulette to illustrate the difference between odds and probabilities. Look at this table for odds and probabilities in roulette.  Take the amount of the prize awarded and multiply it by the chance of success. You’ll see the result is always less than 100%. That means the casino keeps the difference (this is the “house edge” in roulette). Slot machines have to use a similar odds-versus-probabilities table to determine how much weight to give to any symbol and how much to pay for any winning combination. The virtual machine on the Hello Casino app consists of several components: the virtual reels, the virtual odds-and-probabilities table, a virtual random number generator, and a virtual control. The machine is used as a model for creating the code that makes the real game work. It may never be more than a set of specifications on paper or contained in an electronic document, but the model has to be documented and tested before the software is developed.
