Montreal Gazette and a ton of other sources are reporting this morning that Montreal Canadiens defenceman Andrei Markov could miss up to 4 months and will at least miss 2 months after having surgery to repair tendon damage in his ankle on Thursday. He was cut on the ankle by Carey Price’s skate right before the Maple Leafs scored their third goal of the game on Thursday night.The loss of Markov is, of course, a huge blow to the Canadiens, and any fantasy team. He was second to Mike Green in defencemen scoring last season.
