According to Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune, defenseman Brian Campbell will miss 4-5 weeks with a knee sprain.  The injury came during an exhibition game with the Pittsburgh Penguins after being hit into the boards.

As Kuc mentioned, Nick Leddy has the best chance to use those minutes.  Here are some quotes from Joel Quenneville and the writer on the subject:

Nick Leddy figures to get a chance to stay with the team. The 19-year-old is still in camp and has impressed coaches.

“Somebody’s obviously got a chance to play and grab minutes,” Quenneville said. “Nick is one guy that certainly helped himself as he’s progessed here. He’s still a young kid and we’ll keep an eye on him but he’s one guy that certainly could get a chance.”

In deeper leagues, Leddy should already be a household name.  Ironically, he may lace them up for the Chicago Blackhawks before Cam Barker can for the Minnesota Wild.  The two were traded for each other last season before the trade deadline.
