The Boston Bruins are off to the second round.
The Bruins utilized a four-goal third period to rally from a 4-3 deficit to defeat the Maple Leafs in Game 7 and advance to the second round for the first time since 2014.
Torey Krug tied the game 4-4 early in the third period, while Jake DeBrusk scored his second goal of the game 5:25 into the frame to give the Bruins a 5-4 lead.
Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci had three points for the Bruins, while Patrick Marleau scored twice for the visitors.
Kasperi Kapanen scored one of the best goals of the playoffs with an incredible individual effort on the penalty kill in the second period:

The Maple Leafs have now been eliminated in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs for two consecutive years.
The Bruins will face the Tampa Bay Lightning in the second round. They kick off their second-round series at 3:00 PM EST on Saturday, April 28 in Tampa Bay. Game 1 will be carried by NBC in the USA and Sportsnet in Canada.
