The Montreal Canadiens announced on Friday that goaltender Carey Price underwent surgery on his knee.

The team said that the expected recovery period is 10-12 weeks and it’s expected Price will be ready to play at the beginning of the 2021-22 season.

Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin said that the team isn’t worried about Price’s health heading into next season.

“Nothing alarming as we speak,” Bergevin said. “As you know, Carey played every minute of the playoffs and he performed very well. It’s certain that, as in the case of the majority of players, there were injuries.”

As Bergevin said, was between the pipes for the entirety of the Habs’ shocking run to the Stanley Cup Final this year, posting a .924 save percentage over the course of 22 games.
