Computer Picks: 26/03/2010–Wait a Minute

Here are some stats that might make you pretty upset if you’ve been losing money over the last few days: over the past 4 days, the home teams in the NHL have gone 21-9  straight up, and the Unders have gone 20-10. Road favourites and liberal bets on the Overs have been absolute bankroll-killers. On the flip side, the home dogs and the Unders have been gold mines lately, and not surprisingly, many have let this bit of information fly past them due to the general attraction of betting favourites and Overs. I can’t say with any certainty how much longer these trends are going to last for, but the end of the regular season is a mere two-and-a-half weeks away, and this could just be yet another effect of giddy hockey players who can’t wait for it to end.

For now, my only advice and note-to-self is to watch out. I certainly don’t want to be on the wrong end of an 8-3 CBJ beatdown again, anytime soon.
