Daily Fantasy Hockey Goalie Rankings: February 23rd
There are nine games on the NHL schedule tonight and by my estimation, it looks like it’s going to be a high scoring night. When pucks are going in fast and furious, picking the right Fantasy netminder is even more important, so here are my top 3:
- Jonathan Quick – vs. CGY – $8,200 – There’s a lot going in Quick’s favour tonight. 1) He is coming off of a stellar performance on Saturday. 2) He has stopped 92 of 97 (.949 SV%) shots since returning to the Kings crease. 3) He faces a Flames team that has lost four of five. 4) Joni Ortio starts for Calgary. And 5) He’s on home ice. Quick has a 2.37 GAA at STAPLES Center and Calgary is putrid 9-16-3 on the road. Roll Quicky with confidence.
- Henrik Lundqvist – @ NJ – $8,500 – Lundqvist is coming off of a shutout, he is 6-2-0 with a 1.61 GAA and .934 SV% since the All-Star break and he has a 1.98 GAA and .922 SV% vs. New Jersey this season. In addition to that, the Devils have lost three in a row while averaging just 2.33 goals per game.
- Petr Mrazek – vs. CBJ – $7,700 – Mrazek is coming off of a few bad outings in a row, which should keep his DraftKings owned percentage down tonight. He draws a strong matchup with the Blue Jackets coming in on the wrong side of a back-to-back and he’s on Joe Louis Arena ice, where he is 10-5-5 with a 2.08 GAA and .922 SV% this season.
