Daily Fantasy Hockey Notebook | 03-08-18
Whether you spend your entire day at work or school, it can be difficult to stay on top of all NHL news. That’s why I have created the Daily Fantasy Notebook, so you can catch up on everything you might have missed throughout the day.
The notebook will be released everyday after teams wrap up their morning skate. It will include a number of things: Injury updates, projected lines, goalie rankings and DFS value picks.
Key Injuries
IN
– Mika Zibanejad (illness) will be back after a one-game absence.
– Kyle Turris (rest) is expected to be back in the Predators lineup.
– Milan Lucic (illness) took part in the morning skate and is expected to play vs. the Islanders.
– Sergei Bobrovsky (illness) will dress as Joonas Korpisalo’s backup on Thursday.
– Dion Phaneuf (illness) will play after missing Wednesday’s practice.
– Tobias Enstrom (lower-body) will be back in the Jets lineup on Thursday.
– Jan Rutta (lower-body) will return to Chicago blueline on Thursday.
– Sven Andrighetto (leg) will play for the first time since December 31st.
– Brian Gibbons (thumb) will play for the first time since January 20th.
– Joakim Nordstrom (face) will return to the Hurricanes lineup.
GAMETIME DECISION
– Mathieu Perreault (illness) will be a game-time decision in New Jersey.
– Melker Karlsson (lower-body) will be a game-time decision vs. the Blues.
– Trevor Lewis (upper-body) will be a game-time decision vs. the Capitals.
OUT
– Mark Scheifele is day-to-day with an upper-body injury; won’t play in New Jersey.
– Roman Josi (upper-body) is expected to miss his fourth straight game.
– Kevin Fiala is expected to be the latest Predator to be rested.
– Reilly Smith is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury; won’t play in Detroit.
– Frans Nielsen (upper-body) will miss at least the next two games.
– David Backes has been suspended for the next three games.
– Pavel Zacha (upper-body) will not play Thursday vs. the Jets.
– Nate Schmidt (undisclosed) will not play Thursday; will join the team in Buffalo.
– Joel Edmundson (arm) is nearing a return; but won’t play Thursday.
– Steve Mason (lower-body) was hurt in the morning skate and won’t dress on Thursday.
