Daily Fantasy Hockey Notebook | 12-21-17

Whether you spend your entire day at work or school, it can be difficult to stay on top of all NHL news. That’s why I have created the Daily Fantasy Notebook, so you can catch up on everything you might have missed throughout the day.

The notebook will be released everyday after teams wrap up their morning skate. It will include a number of things: Injury updates, prominent line changes, goalie rankings and DFS value picks.

While this is obviously more geared towards daily fantasy hockey, it can be just as useful for season-long players as well. Injuries are obviously key, but important line changes could be viewed as as potential waiver wire pickups and the goalie rankings can help you make the tough starting goalie decisions you face on large slates.

Key Injuries

IN

– Marcus Johansson (ankle) will return after a four-game absence.
– Shane Prince (ankle) will make his season debut.
– Tyler Johnson (illness) will be back vs. the Senators.
– Jake Dotchin (illness) will be back vs. the Senators.

GAMETIME DECISION

– Zack Werenski (undisclosed) is questionable for Thursday’s game.
– Patric Hornqvist (upper-body) will be a game-time decision.
– Brad Marchand (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision.
– Ryan Spooner (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision.
– Riley Nash (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision.
– Zack Smith (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision.

OUT

– Jesper Bratt (lower-body) will not be in the lineup vs. the Rangers.
– Logan Couture (concussion) will miss his second straight game.
– David Krejci (upper-body) will miss his third straight game.
– Dion Phaneuf (personal) will not be in the Senators lineup.
