The Avalanche doubled up the Blue Jackets by a 4-2 score as -140 home favorites on the NHL odds when the teams met for the first time this season back on November 9, in a result that was a PUSH on the posted total of six goals at sportsbooks. Overall, though, the Avalanche are just 4-6 in their last 10 games against the Blue Jackets since March of 2015.

Opening NHL Odds: Predators -107 Favorites
The Oilers will be looking to put an end to a two-game losing streak as they host the Predators on Saturday, with Edmonton having beaten Nashville 4-2 at +105 on the moneyline when the teams met on January 14. However, the Oilers have not had much success against the Predators in recent seasons, winning just two of the last 10 games between the teams.

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -195 Favorites
The Lightning lost twice to the Islanders back in November, falling 5-2 on the road as -120 favorites and 5-1 at home as -175 favorites in those contests. Tampa Bay, though, rides a five-game winning streak into Saturday, and sits at 6-4 in its last 10 games against New York dating back to November 2016. The OVER/UNDER went 4-4-2 on the totals in that stretch.

Opening NHL Odds: Capitals -185 Favorites
The Capitals have won five of their last six games against the rival Flyers, but that one defeat came in the most recent meeting between the teams on January 8 when Philadelphia pulled out a 3-2 victory as +110 home underdogs on the NHL betting lines. That was the third straight UNDER result between the teams, after the OVER had paid out five straight times.

Opening NHL Odds: Penguins -110 Favorites
The Panthers have picked up two wins in two games against the Penguins so far this season, winning 4-2 as -135 home favorites on October 22 and 4-1 as +140 road underdogs on January 5. The Penguins, though, still have the small edge at 6-4 in their last 10 games against the Panthers. The OVER hasn’t paid off in any of the last five games between them.
Maple Leafs at Canadiens | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -130 Favorites
The Maple Leafs have lost three straight games against the Canadiens with another matchup on tap for Saturday, falling twice to the Habs so far this season back in October by a combined score of 11-7 in a pair of easy OVER results. The OVER is now 5-0 in the last five games between the teams. Montreal is 4-1 in its last five games heading into Saturday night.

Opening NHL Odds: Blues -140 Favorites
Dallas has lost twice to St. Louis so far this season and four straight times overall, putting them at 4-6 in the last 10 games between the teams dating back to March 2019. The UNDER has paid off in four of the last five games between the Stars and Blues with one PUSH result. The Blues have lost three of their last four games and six of their eight most recent outings.

Opening NHL Odds: Canucks -133 Favorites
The Canucks got past the Flames 5-2 as +170 road underdogs in their last meeting on December 29 after Calgary had topped Vancouver 3-0 as -200 home favorites on October 5. Overall the teams have split their last 10 meetings at five wins apiece dating back to November 2017, while the OVER has paid off on the totals seven times over that stretch.
