The Blackhawks will look to tie a season-high winning streak as they seek their fifth consecutive victory when they visit the lowly Red Wings. Meanwhile, Detroit is riding a six-game skid and has also dropped 10 of 11 en route to the worst record in the league. The Red Wings have also lost the past four meetings with the Blackhawks.

The Golden Knights open a tough four-game road trip against the Jets after winning nine of their past 10 games. Vegas blanked the New Jersey Devils 3-0 on Tuesday as a massive -310 home favorite behind a 27-save shutout from backup goaltender Robin Lehner, who will give way to starter Marc-Andre Fleury here. Winnipeg is hoping to stay in the playoff race after winning two of three following a 3-1 victory against the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday as -160 home chalk. The UNDER is 3-0 in the last three games for the Jets and 5-1-1 in the previous seven.

Opening NHL Odds: Flames -135 Favorites

Two more Pacific Division teams with postseason hopes will square off in Calgary when the Flames host the Coyotes. Calgary currently resides in third place in the division after winning two straight games, sitting three points behind the Edmonton Oilers and five behind Vegas. Arizona has three points less but has won three of its last four, with the OVER on a 3-1 run. The Flames have won five of the past seven meetings along with 12 of 17 in the series.

The Ducks begin a three-game homestand against the Maple Leafs after splitting a pair of road matchups with the Blackhawks and Avalanche as big underdogs. Anaheim upset Colorado 4-3 in overtime Wednesday as an extra large +285 dog, with the OVER cashing for the second straight game. Toronto is playing back-to-back nights and closes out a three-game California road trip after a 1-0 shootout loss to the Los Angeles Kings. The Maple Leafs have lost nine in a row and 12 of 13 when playing the second game of a back-to-back situation.

Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -145 Favorites

The Avalanche will attempt to bounce back from their first loss in eight games when they visit the struggling Canucks. Colorado saw its season-high seven-game winning streak end on Wednesday with a 4-3 overtime loss to the Anaheim Ducks as a hefty -350 home favorite, with the OVER also cashing for the first time in eight games. Vancouver will try to end a four-game skid that has hurt the team’s chances to win the Pacific Division, with the OVER on a 9-2 run. The Canucks again blew a late lead on Wednesday, falling 4-2 as a -115 home favorite.
