Sabres at Avalanche | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -200 Favorites

The Avalanche failed to keep pace with their competition for a Western Conference playoff spot, dropping a 4-0 decision to the Dallas Stars as +110 underdogs on Thursday.  They now host a Sabres team that has lost three straight games along with nine of 11, but Colorado will be playing without Gabriel Landeskog who is out four-to-six weeks with an upper-body injury.

Blues at Sharks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Sharks -175 Favorites

The Sharks are riding a three-game winning streak and now trail the Calgary Flames by only one point for the Pacific Division lead with one game in hand. They routed the Montreal Canadiens 5-2 on Thursday as -180 home favorites and saw the OVER improve to 3-1-1 in their last five games. The Blues wrap up a three-game road trip through California and will go for a sweep after topping both the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings as road favorites.

Red Wings at Lightning | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -530 Favorites

The Lightning are coming off a 3-0 loss to the Minnesota Wild as -260 home favorites on Thursday, with the UNDER cashing for the third time in four games. Tampa Bay has split its last four games since a 10-game winning streak while Detroit just ended an eight-game skid with a 3-2 shootout victory against the New York Rangers as -105 home underdogs. The Red Wings played without leading scorer Dylan Larkin (back) and defenseman Mike Green (virus).

Senators at Bruins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -560 favorites

Like the Lightning, the Bruins are one of the biggest favorites on the betting board, but they have not fared well in this situation recently as they have split their last six games as home favorites of -300 odds or higher. The Senators, though, have lost  nine of their last 10 games.

Devils at Rangers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Rangers -230 favorites

The Rangers are mired in a six-game slump where they have been outscored by a 21-14 margin, with each of their last three falling UNDER the total. The Devils have won two of their last three games in a back-to-back situation, and faced the Capitals in Washington on Friday.

Maple Leafs at Oilers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -175 favorites

The Oilers are seeking their fifth consecutive victory in an effort to remain in the playoff mix after winning two of their last three games as road underdogs. They are coming off a 3-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks as -190 home favorites on Thursday, the same team the Maple Leafs lost to 3-2 in overtime as -200 road favorites on Wednesday. Toronto blew a 2-0 lead in the third period and saw its 6-0 run of OVERs end as well in the overtime loss at Vancouver.

Flyers at Islanders | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Islanders -177 favorites

The Islanders shook off a 2-5 stretch with back-to-back victories over the Senators this past week, winning 5-4 as a -320 home favorite on Tuesday night and 4-2 as a -200 road favorite on Thursday. The OVER has paid out in five of Philadelphia’s last six games for totals bettors.

Penguins at Blue Jackets | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blue Jackets -143 favorites

The Penguins blanked the Blue Jackets 3-0 as -135 home favorites on Thursday night, with Matt Murray collecting the shutout in the contest. Overall Pittsburgh has managed to pick up the win in each of its last eight games against Columbus dating back to April 2017. The Blue Jackets have lost three of their last four contests, with the UNDER going 3-1 in that stretch.

Hurricanes at Predators | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Predators -190 favorites

Nashville is coming off a pair of victories over the Minnesota Wild, winning 3-2 as -135 road favorites last Sunday and 5-4 as -175 home favorites on Tuesday. The Predators, though, are just 6-7 in their last 13 games as they battle the Jets for first place in the Central Division. Carolina topped Nashville 6-3 as +115 home underdogs when the teams met on January 13.

Blackhawks at Stars | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Stars -200 favorites

Dallas has had Chicago’s number lately, winning five of their last six matchups including a 4-3 victory in a pick’em contest on the NHL odds when the teams last met on February 24. After a hot stretch in January and early February the Blackhawks have cooled down considerably, getting tagged with a loss in four of their last six games to fall outside the West playoff picture.

Kings at Coyotes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Coyotes -210 favorites

With eight wins in their past 10 games the Coyotes are suddenly challenging for a playoff berth in the Western Conference, with the UNDER having paid out for totals bettors in six of their last eight outings. Los Angeles, meanwhile, has just one win over its past 13 contests.

Golden Knights at Canucks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -205 favorites

Vegas is 6-1 all-time against Vancouver, with the Golden Knights riding a two-game winning streak versus the Canucks into their matchup on Saturday night. Overall Vegas has managed to win five games in a row, with the UNDER paying out in four of those contests. Vancouver has put up eight UNDER results in its last nine games, winning just twice over that stretch.
