Meanwhile, Columbus is coming off a 7-4 win over the Boston Bruins as a -105 home underdog on Tuesday to move back into a Wild Card spot, with the total going OVER for the first time in five games.

The Golden Knights have been off since falling 6-3 to the Calgary Flames as +125 road underdogs on Sunday. That loss ended a six-game winning streak for Vegas, and it was also the first setback since the team acquired winger Mark Stone from the Ottawa Senators at the trade deadline. The Stars moved ahead of the St. Louis Blues for third place in the Central Division with a 4-1 victory against the Minnesota Wild as +100 road underdogs on Thursday, and they have won their last two when playing the second game of a back-to-back.

Opening NHL Odds: Flames -310 Favorites

The Flames will have an excellent opportunity to move back atop the Pacific Division standings after the San Jose Sharks lost at home to the Florida Panthers on Thursday. Calgary has won two games in a row since suffering through a season-high four-game losing streak, with the OVER cashing twice, scoring six unanswered goals in the third period to knock off the New Jersey Devils 9-4 as -425 home favorites on Tuesday. The Rangers have lost two straight games and eight of nine with the UNDER currently on a 5-0-1 run.

Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -173 Favorites

The Avalanche could definitely use a victory in this spot to stay in the playoff race, with the Arizona Coyotes sitting five points ahead of them for the second Wild Card spot in the Western Conference. They have been involved in shutouts in their last three games with the UNDER cashing each time. The Ducks will be playing for the second night in a row after losing 6-1 to the Coyotes as +145 road underdogs on Thursday. Anaheim has also lost five straight games when playing the second game of a back-to-back with the UNDER going 4-1.

Opening NHL Odds: Canucks -158 Favorites

The Devils continue a six-game road trip by visiting the Canucks off a 6-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers as +265 underdogs on Wednesday. They had lost the first three games and have seen the OVER go 2-0-1 in their last three. The Canucks ended a two-game skid with a 4-1 victory against the New York Rangers as -125 home favorites on Wednesday, with the UNDER continuing on a 4-1 run in their last five and going 9-2 in their last 11.
