Islanders at Red Wings | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Islanders -265 Favorites

The Islanders continue their pursuit of the Metropolitan Division title against the Red Wings, who have lost their past four games and 11 of their last 12. Detroit’s lone win over that stretch took place against the New York Rangers as -105 home underdogs on March 7, and the team’s last four losses have all come as dogs of +190 or higher. New York has won two in a row as home favorites both times, with the UNDER cashing twice after three straight OVERs.

Blues at Penguins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Penguins -175 Favorites

The Blues will be looking to break a three-game losing streak against a Penguins team that has won three in a row. St. Louis is back in third place in the Central Division while Pittsburgh is third in the Metropolitan. The Blues were blanked 2-0 by the Ottawa Senators as -246 road favorites on Thursday with the UNDER cashing in their fourth straight game. The Penguins have been favored in each of their past three wins, and the UNDER is 6-1 in their last seven.

Panthers at Kings | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Panthers -132 Favorites

The Kings are coming off a 3-1 loss to the Nashville Predators as +170 home underdogs on Thursday as the UNDER improved to 3-1-1 in their last five games. Meanwhile, the Panthers have won their last three games, including two of them as underdogs. Florida doubled up the San Jose Sharks 4-2 on Thursday as +180 road underdogs, with the UNDER cashing for the first time in four games. Prior to their winning streak, the Panthers had lost six in a row.

Blackhawks at Canadiens | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Canadiens -167 Favorites

The Blackhawks are still fighting for one of the last playoff spots in the Western Conference, riding a four-game winning streak to move over the .500 mark for the first time since November 1. They edged the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-4 on Wednesday as +200 road underdogs, with the OVER improving to 17-1-1 in their last 18 games. The Canadiens are also battling for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference but have lost three of their last four games following a 2-1 defeat at the New York Islanders as +110 road underdogs on Thursday.

Blue Jackets at Bruins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -200 Favorites

The Bruins hope to end a three-game skid and halt a two-game winning streak for the Blue Jackets as big home favorites. Boston is only two points ahead of the Toronto Maple Leafs for second place in the Atlantic Division while Columbus is two points ahead of Montreal for the second Wild Card spot. The Blue Jackets have won four of the past five meetings in this series with the Bruins, and the OVER has cashed in each of the last eight between them.

Flames at Jets | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Jets -159 Favorites

The Flames are on fire right now following their longest losing streak of the season, winning three straight games at home by a combined score of 20-8. However, they have lost their last two games on the road, and the Jets are coming off a 4-3 win over the Bruins on Thursday as -125 home favorites with the OVER cashing for the sixth time in seven games.

Capitals at Lightning | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -240 Favorites

The Capitals have won eight of their last nine games and remain atop the Metropolitan Division by two points over the Islanders. They have routed the Philadelphia Flyers twice in five games on the road, the most recent time 5-2 on Thursday as -125 favorites with the OVER cashing again. The Lightning have won three games in a row and 15 of 17 overall, but they have lost the past two meetings dating back to last year’s Eastern Conference final.

Sabres at Hurricanes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Hurricanes -230 Favorites

The Hurricanes are coming off a 3-0 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets as +120 road underdogs on Friday, but they have won eight in a row when playing the second game of a back-to-back situation. The Sabres have lost six straight games, with five of them coming as underdogs, and the UNDER on a 3-0 run.

Maple Leafs at Senators | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -295 Favorites

The Maple Leafs will be playing on back-to-back nights after seeing goaltender Frederik Andersen get shelled in his third consecutive start. Andersen surrendered six goals on 29 shots after giving up eight on 33 in his previous two starts, but Toronto was still able to rally for a 7-6 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday. Toronto has dropped four of five when playing the second game of a back-to-back situation while Ottawa has lost 11 of 13 overall. The Senators ended a four-game skid with a 2-0 victory against the Blues as +219 home underdogs on Thursday, with the UNDER cashing in their third straight game.

Rangers at Wild | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Wild -295 Favorites

The Wild have fallen out of a playoff spot due to a three-game losing streak and will try to right the ship versus a Rangers team ending a four-game road trip. New York has lost the first three games to Canadian teams as an underdog each time, and the team has only earned one win in its last 10. The UNDER is on a 5-0-3 run for the Rangers. Two of Minnesota’s recent losses have come as a favorite, including 4-1 to the Dallas Stars at home on Thursday.

Oilers at Coyotes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Coyotes -175 Favorites

This is virtually a must-win situation for the Oilers, who trail the Coyotes by eight points for the second and last Wild Card spot in the West. Arizona has won two games in a row, four of five and 10 of 12 to move into that position while Edmonton has dropped two of three following a four-game winning streak. The Oilers have lost the past two meetings at home, but they did win in their previous visit to the Coyotes 3-1 on January 2 in a pick’em matchup.

Predators at Sharks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Sharks -162 Favorites

The Sharks have won the previous two meetings with the Predators, and the OVER has cashed in the past four games between the teams. San Jose is coming off a disappointing 4-2 loss to the Florida Panthers as -220 home favorites on Thursday, and the team has not dropped two in a row at the SAP Center since December 23. Nashville wraps up a three-game road trip and has split the first two as a favorite both times with the UNDER going 2-0.
