Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -275 Favorites

The Devils have shaken off a seven-game losing streak to pick up victories in two straight games, getting past the Oilers 6-3 as +265 road underdogs last Wednesday and the Canucks 3-2 as +150 road underdogs last Friday. The Avalanche, meanwhile, are looking to put an end to a two-game losing skid, falling at home to the Hurricanes and the Ducks in their two most recent contests. The UNDER has paid off on the totals in four of Colorado’s last six outings.

Blues at Sabres | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blues -190 Favorites

The Blues have managed to pick up the win in nine of their last 10 games against the Sabres dating all the way back to April 2014, with the OVER paying out for totals bettors in just one of those 10 contests. When the teams last met back on December 27, St. Louis rolled to a 4-1 win as -135 home favorites on the NHL lines in the third straight UNDER between the teams.

Islanders at Wild | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Wild -127 Favorites

The Islanders edged the Wild 2-1 as -140 home betting favorites in the first meeting between the teams on the season on February 10, with the UNDER paying out for totals bettors on the night. However, the OVER has been the correct wager in seven of the last 10 games between the teams dating back to March 2014. The Islanders went just 4-6 over that 10-game span.

Opening NHL Odds: Stars -265 Favorites

The Canucks’ tailspin continued in their last game with a 3-2 loss to the Devils as -170 home favorites, with Vancouver having now fallen to defeat in nine of their last 12 contests. The UNDER is 5-1 in the Canucks’ last six games. Dallas is 6-2 in its last eight games, but is coming off a 2-1 loss to the Golden Knights as +130 home underdogs. The UNDER has also been a strong wager in Stars contests, paying out six times over their last seven outings.

Flyers at Penguins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Penguins -225 Favorites

The Flyers have lost two games in a row heading into their matchup with the rival Penguins on Sunday, allowing 12 goals over the two defeats against the Capitals and the Maple Leafs – those contests both produced easy OVER results at the sportsbooks. Philadelphia, though, is 2-1 against Pittsburgh so far this season, including a 4-3 victory as +120 home underdogs when the teams last met on February 23. The Penguins are 6-4 over their last 10 meetings.

Panthers at Ducks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Panthers -118 Favorites

The Ducks have shown some signs of life lately, winning five of their last eight games including a 5-3 victory at Colorado as a +170 road underdog in their last outing on Friday night – which was their fourth OVER result in their past six games. As well, Anaheim came out on top in its first meeting with Florida on the season, winning 3-2 as a +155 road underdog on the NHL betting lines back on November 28. The UNDER has paid in their last two meetings.

Oilers at Golden Knights | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -360 Favorites

Vegas has been on a roll down the stretch, winning seven of its last eight games including a 2-1 victory at Dallas as a -150 road favorite in its last outing on Friday night. The Oilers, though, have had the upper hand in clashes with the Golden Knights over the past two seasons, winning four of their six meetings. That includes a 2-1 victory by the Oilers over the Golden Knights as -105 home underdogs when the two teams last met back on December 1.
