Here’s a look at the NHL odds and betting trends for the full slate of games on today’s schedule. All NHL betting lines are as listed at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Coyotes at Panthers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Panthers -130 Favorites

The Coyotes are hoping to stay in the Wild Card race here as they currently sit in the second and final spot in the Western Conference. Arizona has lost two games in a row after winning four of five and 10 of 12 to open the door for some other contenders to move into that spot, so this is an extremely important game. The Panthers have little chance to make the postseason, which means they are essentially playing spoilers at this point. They too have dropped two straight following a four-game winning streak, with both of the losses coming on the road.

Lightning at Hurricanes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -115 Favorites

The Lightning will be playing on back-to-back nights here after topping the Washington Capitals 5-4 in overtime on Wednesday as -130 road favorites to earn their sixth consecutive victory. They are 5-2 the last seven times they have played the second game of a back-to-back situation. This could potentially be a first-round playoff preview if the Hurricanes slip into the second Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference, so they will be trying to avoid that scenario at all costs. Carolina has won its last two games and four of five, with the UNDER on a 3-0-1 run following six straight OVERs.

Bruins at Devils | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -215 Favorites

One of these teams is almost completely dialed out while the other is trying to finish the regular season strong in preparation for the playoffs, and you can simply look at the odds to figure out which is which. The Bruins have won two games in a row and the Devils have lost two straight, and that is another telling statistic. Finally, Boston has won five of the past six meetings and 11 of 14 in the series dating back to 2014, so consider that as well.

Islanders at Canadiens | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Canadiens -150 Favorites

The Islanders are still fighting for the Metropolitan Division title and have some work to do, trailing the Washington Capitals by three points with one game in hand. That makes this close to a must-win situation for them with just nine games remaining in the regular season. However, this may be an even bigger game for the Canadiens, who trail the Columbus Blue Jackets by one point for the second Wild Card spot in the East. Montreal has fallen a bit in the standings after losing four of its last six games, with the UNDER cashing in four straight.

Penguins at Predators | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Predators -145 Favorites

The Predators will be looking to extend their winning streak to four games after blanking the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-0 as -125 home favorites on Tuesday. They have seen the UNDER go 4-0 in their last four games after the OVER cashed in their previous two games. Meanwhile, the Penguins will be trying to end a three-game skid, and they have seen the UNDER go 3-0-1 in their past four games and 8-1-1 in their last 10.

Red Wings at Blues | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blues -265 Favorites

These teams have not met since November 28 when the Red Wings edged the Blues 4-3 as +110 home underdogs. St. Louis had won the previous three meetings and four of five in the series with the UNDER going 4-1. Detroit has also surprisingly won its last two games as an underdog both times against the two New York teams with the UNDER going 2-0.

Avalanche at Stars | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Stars -115 Favorites

This matchup has huge playoff implications, with the Stars currently sitting in the first Wild Card spot and the Avalanche two points behind the Coyotes for the second. Colorado would love to pull off the road upset and has won three of the past four meetings along with five of seven. Dallas goaltender Ben Bishop returned from a lower body injury on Tuesday versus the Florida Panthers, stopping 20 of 22 shots in a 4-2 victory as a -150 home favorite.

Flyers at Blackhawks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blackhawks -130 Favorites

Again, this is close to a must-win situation for the Blackhawks, who have one more game to play than the Coyotes and trail them by four points for the second Wild Card spot in the West. A victory here would be very big for Chicago while Philadelphia is further out for a playoff berth in the East. That said, the Flyers have won three of the past four meetings and six of eight in the series going back to 2015, with the UNDER cashing in four straight.

Senators at Flames | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Flames -300 Favorites

The Flames can move even further ahead of the San Jose Sharks for the lead in the Pacific Division with a win over the worst team in the league. The Senators saw their two-game winning streak come to an end with a 7-4 loss to the Vancouver Canucks as +165 road underdogs on Wednesday. Ottawa is 3-8 in its last 11 when playing the second game of a back-to-back situation, with the UNDER going 6-0 the previous six times under that scenario.

Blue Jackets at Oilers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blue Jackets -125 Favorites

The Oilers have lost two consecutive games at the worst possible time, seeing their playoff hopes vanish in the process. While they have not yet been eliminated from postseason contention, they cannot afford to lose three in a row here. Then again, neither can the Blue Jackets with only a one-point lead over the Canadiens for the second Wild Card spot in the East. Columbus hopes to break a two-game skid too as a road favorite for the first time since beating the Devils 2-1 at -240 on March 5. The UNDER is on a 7-1 run for the Blue Jackets.

Jets at Golden Knights | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -175 Favorites

The Jets will also be playing on back-to-back nights after blanking the Anaheim Ducks 3-0 as -150 road favorites Wednesday with the UNDER cashing for the third straight time. They have won six in a row in the second game of a back-to-back situation. The Golden Knights will be playing for the first time since crushing the San Jose Sharks 7-3 as +160 road underdogs. The OVER is on a 2-0 run for Vegas and has gone 4-1 in its last five games.

Sharks at Kings | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Sharks -175 Favorites

The Sharks should be happy to be away from home, where they have lost three straight games for just the second time this year. They have won two straight and three of four on the road. The Kings are mired in a three-game slump, with all three losses taking place at home. Los Angeles fell 3-2 to Winnipeg as a +155 home underdog Monday, and the team has not been favored since falling 4-3 to the Vancouver Canucks in a shootout on February 14.
