Blues at Rangers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blues -175 Favorites

The Blues trail the Winnipeg Jets by just four points for the lead in the Central Division and the Nashville Predators by only two points for second place. In other words, this is an important game for St. Louis in order to try to earn home ice in the first round. The Blues are riding a four-game winning streak following a 3-1 victory against the Vegas Golden Knights as -140 home favorites on Monday, with the UNDER cashing for the first time in five games. Meanwhile, the Rangers have lost two games in a row, seven of eight and 13 of 15.

Predators at Penguins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Penguins -140 Favorites

Nashville faces the prospect of seeing St. Louis pull into a tie for second place depending on Friday’s results. With a victory, the Predators can ensure they stay ahead of the Blues for second place in the Central. However, the Penguins are also fighting for postseason positioning and need a win to keep pace with the New York Islanders in the Metropolitan. Pittsburgh has won four of the past five meetings with Nashville dating back to the 2017 Stanley Cup Final, with the UNDER on a 3-1 run.

Devils at Red Wings | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Red Wings -140 Favorites

The Red Wings are rolling, winners of three games in a row, all as road underdogs. They are coming off a 5-4 overtime victory against the Buffalo Sabres as +135 road dogs on Thursday. But Detroit has lost three straight in the second game of a back-to-back situation and eight of 10, with the OVER on a 6-2 run under that scenario. The Devils look to be their next victims, although they have won their last two games as underdogs as well. New Jersey beat Buffalo 3-1 as a -105 home dog on Monday, with the UNDER cashing for the fifth time in six games.

Ducks at Flames | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Flames -240 Favorites

The Flames can move closer to clinching the Pacific Division title and the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference with a win here. They have shockingly dropped back-to-back games at the Scotiabank Saddledome despite owning the West’s best home mark, and the UNDER is on a 6-0 run as they have split their last six overall. The Ducks have surprisingly won two of the past three meetings and 10 of the last 13 games between the teams going back to 2016. Anaheim has also won four of its last six games overall as underdogs. But the biggest trend in this series with Calgary involves the total, with the UNDER cashing in seven straight games. However, the OVER is on a 3-0 run for the Ducks overall, going 7-3-1 in their last 11.

Coyotes at Avalanche | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -160 Favorites

This is the biggest game of the day with regards to the Wild Card race in the West. The Avalanche can move four points ahead of the Coyotes for the final playoff spot with four games to play if they can pick up their sixth victory in seven games. Colorado improved to 5-0-1 in its last six games following a 4-3 win over the Vegas Golden Knights as +100 home underdogs Wednesday. But Arizona can pull even in the standings with their second win in a row after ending a five-game losing streak with a 1-0 victory against the Chicago Blackhawks as a -135 home favorite on Tuesday, with the UNDER cashing for the fifth time in six games.

Wild at Golden Knights | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -180 Favorites

The Wild are on the brink of elimination from the playoff picture while the Golden Knights can inch closer to second place in the Pacific with a victory. Because the San Jose Sharks are suffering through a seven-game skid, Vegas has an excellent opportunity to move to within three points of them with a huge showdown between the teams scheduled for Saturday at the SAP Center. The Golden Knights have lost three straight games themselves but would love nothing more than to steal home ice away from the Sharks in a potential first-round playoff series. However, Minnesota will be no slouch in this spot with a solid 20-16-2 road record and an impressive 4-1 mark all-time versus Vegas, with the OVER going 3-1-1 in the series.
