Capitals at Panthers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Capitals -148 Favorites

The Capitals took another step towards locking up first place in the Metropolitan Division on Saturday with a 6-3 win over the Lightning as +165 road underdogs. Washington has now won four straight games heading into the week, although they’ve lost three straight games against Florida including a 5-4 defeat as -160 home favorites when the teams last met on February 9. Overall the Capitals are just 3-7 in their past 10 games against the Panthers.

Rangers at Devils | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Devils -137 Favorites

The Rangers are a perfect 3-0 against the rival Devils so far this season, winning 4-3 as +115 road underdogs on January 31, 5-2 as -135 home favorites on February 23, and 4-2 as -175 home favorites when the teams last met on March 9. That March 9 result was a PUSH against the posted total of six goals; the OVER had paid out in their previous five meetings.

Maple Leafs at Islanders | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -132 Favorites

The Islanders have a small chance of catching the Capitals for first place in the Metropolitan Division over the final week of the regular season, and they’ve managed to pick up the win in four of their last five games including a 5-1 victory against Buffalo as a -225 home favorite in their last game on Saturday. The Maple Leafs have managed to lose five of their last seven games heading into the week, getting beaten 4-2 as -225 road chalk at Ottawa on Saturday.

Lightning at Senators | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -335 Favorites

Tampa Bay’s loss to Washington was its second in its last three games, putting an end to a seven-game winning streak for the Presidents’ Trophy winner. The OVER has paid out on the totals in each of the Lightning’s last five games, and in eight of their last nine outings. The UNDER, though, was the result in Tampa Bay’s 5-1 win over Ottawa in their last meeting on March 2. The Lightning had been pegged as massive -500 home favorites in that contest.

Avalanche at Blues | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blues -200 Favorites

Hanging on to the second Wild Card berth in the Western Conference, the Avalanche have won six of their last seven games including a critical 3-2 victory over Arizona as -165 home favorites in their last game on Friday night. St. Louis, with first place in the Central Division still a possibility, has won five of its last six games heading into the final week of the season.

Jets at Blackhawks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Jets -159 Favorites

Winnipeg still holds down top spot in the Central Division, but a current three-game losing streak has allowed both Nashville and St. Louis to remain in the hunt for the division title. The Jets are coming off a 3-1 loss at home to Montreal as -145 betting favorites on the NHL odds on Saturday night, which was their sixth UNDER result in their past eight contests. The Jets have won four games in a row against the Blackhawks however, with the OVER going 3-1.

Oilers at Golden Knights | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -295 Favorites

The Golden Knights have lost five games in a row heading into Monday night, including a 4-3 defeat at San Jose as +120 road underdogs on Saturday night. The Oilers have been just slightly better recently though, winning two of their last seven games but falling 5-1 at home to Anaheim as -155 favorites on Saturday. The Golden Knights doubled up the Oilers 6-3 as -240 home favorites when the teams last met on March 17, in an OVER result on the totals.

Flames at Kings | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Flames -175 Favorites

Calgary will be looking for some revenge in this spot on Monday, having fallen 3-0 at home to the Kings as -320 chalk when the teams last met on March 25. That marked the fifth straight UNDER result between the teams dating back to last season. Los Angeles has shown some improvement lately, winning four of its last six games, but is still last in the Western standings.
