Maple Leafs at Bruins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -138 Favorites

The Bruins tied up this best-of-seven first-round playoff series with a 6-4 win at +100 on the NHL betting lines in Game 4 on Wednesday night. David Pastrnak had a pair of goals for the Bruins in the second period of Game 4, with Charlie McAvoy, Brad Marchand, Zdeno Chara, and Joakim Nordstrom (into an empty net) providing the rest of the team’s markers on the night. Auston Matthews had a pair of goals in the losing cause for the Maple Leafs, with Zach Hyman and Travis Dermott scoring as well. Toronto was a small -120 home betting favorite.

Wednesday’s combined score produced the first OVER result of the series, after the UNDER paid out in the first three games between the teams. The UNDER is now 7-2 in the Maple Leafs’ last nine games for totals bettors, as well as 4-2 in the last six outings for the Bruins.

Avalanche at Flames | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Flames -170 Favorites

The Avalanche can close out an upset victory over the Flames on Friday night after they grabbed a 3-1 series lead with a 3-2 overtime win at -110 on the NHL odds on Wednesday night. Mikko Rantanen tied up the game for Colorado late in the third period and then provided the game-winning goal in overtime. J.T. Compher also scored for Colorado in the win, while Elias Lindholm and Derek Ryan staked the Flames to an early 1-0 lead on the day.

Calgary had been set at -110 on the road for the second consecutive game, and has now lost three straight games in the series since winning Game 1 back on April 11. The UNDER is 3-1 for totals bettors in the series, and 5-1 in Calgary’s last six games in which they’ve scored a total of just 12 goals. The Avalanche have outscored Calgary 12-6 in their last three outings.
