Golden Knights vs Avalanche | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Pick’em -111 Odds

The winner and loser of this Western Conference round-robin game between the Avalanche and Golden Knights will have a very favorable matchup in the first round of the playoffs thanks to results from Friday’s qualifying round action. The fifth-seeded Edmonton Oilers and sixth-seeded Nashville Predators were both bounced in four games by the 12th-seeded Chicago Blackhawks and 11th-seeded Arizona Coyotes. Colorado and Vegas are each looking to earn the top seed, although the winner would face Chicago and the loser Arizona.

That said, the Golden Knights have been the comeback kids in their first two games, rallying from two-goal deficits or more twice to pull off wins in the third period. Vegas outscored the Dallas Stars and the defending Stanley Cup champion St. Louis Blues by a combined 7-0 margin in the third, with the OVER cashing both times. Meanwhile, Colorado outscored St. Louis 2-0 in the third in its first game and then blanked Dallas 4-0 in its second to reward backers as a -130 favorite. The UNDER has cashed in four straight games for the Avalanche, who have also won four in a row in this series against the Knights.

Flyers vs Lightning | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -169 Favorites

The Flyers will look to continue their hot play and go from fourth to first in the Eastern Conference when they take on the Lightning in this round-robin matchup. Philadelphia has won 10 of its last 11 games dating back to the end of the regular season, with the lone loss coming against the Boston Bruins back on March 10 in a pick’em game. The UNDER has cashed in five straight for the Flyers too, as they beat the Bruins and Washington Capitals by a combined score of 7-2 in their first two games.

The Lightning experienced much closer results in their two games versus the same opponents, defeating them by identical 3-2 scores, with the first against the Capitals decided in a shootout. The UNDER has cashed in three straight for Tampa Bay as well, and the team has won the past seven meetings with Philadelphia going back to 2018, with the OVER on a 9-1 run in the series.
