Flames at Predators | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Predators -145 Favorites

The Predators are riding a four-game winning streak into this home matchup with the Flames, and their goaltender Pekka Rinne has been one of the main reasons for their success. Rinne is 3-0 with a 0.33 goals-against average in three starts for Nashville during the winning streak, including back-to-back shutouts of Chicago and Minnesota in which he stopped all 46 shots he faced. He is 7-0-1 with a 1.74 GAA overall and appears to be one of the frontrunners to win the Vezina Trophy for the second time in three years. The UNDER has also cashed in the last three games for the Predators

Meanwhile, Calgary has lost the first two games of a five-game road trip, getting outscored 2-1 by both Winnipeg and Carolina, with the UNDER cashing each time. The defending Pacific Division champions find themselves with just 14 points so far, good for sixth among the eight teams this season. But the Flames have won three of the past four meetings in the series, with the OVER going 3-1 after a 3-0 UNDER run.

Canadiens at Golden Knights | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -190 Favorites

The Golden Knights will be at full strength for the first time this year as they welcome back defenseman Nate Schmidt and winger Alex Tuch, who are each expected to be on the ice when they host the Canadiens. Schmidt suffered a lower-body injury in the very first game of the season while Tuch has not played since the first round of last year’s playoffs. Vegas has alternated wins and losses in its last five games following a 5-2 rout of Anaheim on Sunday as a -250 home favorite, and the team could use both Schmidt and Tuch to solve some problems on the defensive and offensive ends.

Montreal opened a three-game road trip with a 4-1 victory against Arizona on Thursday as a +110 underdog but has struggled recently in the second game of a back-to-back situation. The Canadiens have lost four straight times when playing the second game of a back-to-back. Montreal has won three of the four all-time meetings, with the UNDER going 3-1.
