The Lightning hope to complete a three-game homestand with a second straight win when they host the Islanders. Tampa Bay lost the opener of the homestand 5-4 to Minnesota last Thursday as a -220 favorite but rebounded to rout San Jose 7-1 on Saturday as -200 chalk. The OVER has cashed in the last two games for the Lightning along with six of eight. New York kicked off a three-game road trip with a 3-1 loss at Dallas on Saturday as a +125 underdog. The UNDER has gone 7-0-1 in the past eight games for the Islanders.

Opening NHL Odds: Capitals -215 Favorites

The Capitals are riding a six-game winning streak into the opener of a two-game homestand against the Blue Jackets. Washington just completed a four-game road trip at 4-0, outscoring opponents by a 16-7 margin, with three decided by two goals or more. Columbus has headed in the opposite direction, dropping four in a row, with three of them decided by two or more. The UNDER is also on a 3-1 run for the Blue Jackets, as they have averaged 1.25 goals.

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -190 Favorites

The Bruins begin a four-game road trip versus the Senators following their first home loss in regulation time this season. Boston fell 4-1 to Colorado on Saturday as a -150 home favorite, with the UNDER cashing for the fifth time in six games. The Bruins have also suffered consecutive losses for the first time since November 12 going into this game. Ottawa has dropped six of seven after putting together its first three-game winning streak of the year. The OVER is on a 3-0 run for the Senators and has cashed in four of five since a 4-0 UNDER run.

Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -170 Favorites

The Avalanche bring a six-game winning streak into the opener of a three-game homestand against the Flames. Colorado handed Boston its first regulation home loss Saturday with a 4-1 victory as a +130 underdog, as the UNDER cashed in its third straight game. Calgary is on a season-high four-game winning streak after earning a pair of 4-3 home wins over Buffalo and Los Angeles on Thursday and Saturday, respectively. This will be the first game of a back-to-back situation for the Flames, who visit the Coyotes next. They have not fared well in that situation recently, dropping three of four.
